We lose an average of 17 Veterans a day to suicide. Butler County has lost 7 Veterans to suicide in 2023.

In coordination with the Cincinnati VA Medical Center, the Butler County Veterans Suicide Prevention Committee is hosting a FREE S.A.V.E training. Designed for any veteran, their family members or community members to potentially save a life through recognition and discussion.

The 60 minute session will help you act with care and compassion if you encounter a veteran who is in crisis or experiencing suicidal thoughts. The S.A.V.E acronym stands for Signs, Ask, Validate, Encourage and Expedite.
